Book Tag

Hi everyone! I saw this post a few weeks ago from Darque Dreamer Reads and I decided to tag myself since I thought it would be a fun post to do in between reviews. Definitely check out her blog! The original post is from The Perpetual Page Turner, so check out her blog out as well and give her some love!

Continue below to see all of my answers 🙂

Author you’ve read the most books from:

I’d have to say either Sarah J. Maas or Cassandra Clare at the current point in time. I’ve just gotten back into my normal reading habits about two years ago! (And as I look at my shelves, I have the most from the two of them besides Diana Gabaldon…I won’t count those since I haven’t finished the series)

Best Sequel Ever:

Oh man…Probably A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas, Heart of Betrayal by Mary E. Pearson or Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalsco (which comes out in September).  A very close runner up to these is Crown of Midnight by SJM. (It ripped my heart out…)

Currently Reading:

Crowns of Croswald by D.E Night / Fallen Flame by J. M Miller

Drink of Choice While Reading:

Hm….Water or I guess Coke. I’m more of a snacker, which is probably weird.

E-reader or Physical Book?

Physical books. I tend to get more invested in them and finish them quicker.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:

I’m not sure any of the characters I will pick would have even looked in my general direction…but Thomas from Stalking Jack the Ripper or Fiore from Heart of Mist.

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. Believe it or not, at first the plot didn’t sound good. But after reading ToG, I decided to give it a go. Then I got all my coworkers obsessed with it too. Oops! (Sorry not sorry).

Hidden Gem Book:

Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder or Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalsco.

Important Moment in your Reading Life:

Discovering the YA books that made me fall back into reading and join the Bookstagram / Blogging community.

Just Finished:

Quinsey Wolfe’s Glass Vault – Candace Robinson

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:

Contemporary. The genre just doesn’t do it for me anymore.

Longest Book You’ve Read:

Probably any Diana Gabaldon book…those things are beasts! But I am in love with Jamie Fraser so I don’t even care if it’s nearly 1,000 pages long 🙂

Major book hangover because of:

Roar by Cora Carmack, Heart of Mist by Helen Scheuerer, & Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalsco.

Number of Bookcases You Own:

3 tall-ish ones, two medium ones and a small one. BUT they’re not completely full. Some of them are my radiology books and I’m still organizing.

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:

The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare. Just thinking about Clockwork Princess makes my heart ache. But it’s one of my absolute favorites.

Preferred Place To Read:

In my bed! If I had a hammock, it would probably be there.

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:

This is actually really hard…there are so many great quotes that make my heart ache in all the right ways. Even though it wasn’t one of the most popular quotes from the series now, I always did love “I love you, thorns and all.”

Or

“So I will always tell you to be careful, because I will alwayscare what happens.” I’m a big Chaolena fan….Crown of Midnight holds a special place in my heart because of those two. I just have so many feelings and thoughts about it.

Reading Regret:

Not finishing Harry Potter when they were coming out. But back then, Goblet of Fire was too long for me at that point. Or missing out on a lot of series because I wasn’t reading at that time. (Please don’t shun me!)

Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):

Harry Potter (Don’t kill me!!!). Outlander.

Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:

Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare, Outlander / Voyager by Diana Gabaldon, and Crown of Midnight by SJM.

Unapologetic Fangirl For:

That’s a hard choice….there’s so many authors that are a must buy for me. Probably Kerri Maniscalsco right now.

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:

I’m having a really hard time picking just one. Ugh. Hunting Prince DraculaOne Dark ThroneAn Enchantment of Ravens.

Worst Bookish Habit:

Buying multiple copies. I may have a problem.

X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:

All of my books aren’t on shelves at the moment since I’m reorganizing so….I’ll have to skip this one!

Your latest book purchase:

The Disappearances by Emily Bain Murphy

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):

Caraval by Stephanie Garber and Roar by Cora Carmack.

I’d love to see yall’s answers for this survey if you decide to do the survey as well!
